## What HORIZON Does

HORIZON connects to over 12,000 U.S. banks through Plaid and syncs
transactions in real time. A matching engine scores each transaction against
the general ledger and auto-matches above 95% confidence. Transactions below
that threshold are flagged for human review.

After three consistent manual categorizations at 85% or higher confidence,
HORIZON creates a permanent merchant rule. Future transactions from that
merchant are categorized instantly at the database level — no AI needed.

Financial integrity is enforced through PostgreSQL triggers and constraints,
not application code. Journal entries are immutable. Period locking is
enforced at the transaction level. All monetary values use Decimal(15,2)
precision — no floating-point arithmetic anywhere in the financial stack.
